Help customers find their next favorite.

Small, thoughtful decisions that make a product catalog easier to explore.

By Build N Brew

Use your customers' language

Group products using names customers recognize. If your internal category names are technical, add plain descriptions. A good catalog helps someone narrow their options even when they do not know an exact product name.

Make comparison easier

Keep product cards consistent. Show the details that matter for a decision, such as size, material, or available variants. Use images with a similar framing so customers can scan the grid comfortably.

Make filters understandable

Choose filters that match real shopping questions. Show which filters are active and provide an easy way to clear them. When no products match, explain how to broaden the search instead of leaving an empty page.

Give product details room to work

Use the detail page for specifications, multiple images, and ordering information. Keep the next action easy to find. Tell customers what to expect if a product requires an enquiry instead of an immediate purchase.

Check the complete journey

Try browsing, filtering, viewing a product, and returning to the results on both a phone and a desktop. Test with a keyboard as well. Watch where people hesitate and use those observations to guide your next iteration.
